Animals sometimes adopt surprising behaviors. This book brings together 30 stories, often amusing and surprising, in order to popularize the work of ethologists. From the alcoholism of monkeys to the speed dating of grouse, to the war between clans of meerkats and the maternal instinct of strawberry frogs, each story is full of surprises. |
Human, this animal species so different from the others! Oh wait… Since the advent of ethology, researchers have been breaking down, one after the other, the barriers commonly erected between humans and other animal species. Although human behaviors are complex and diverse, perhaps they are not so singular. |
